We are family and friends, who deeply love the outdoors, board sports and kite.

Our professional skills include business management, data science and digital marketing.

Manuel Barragan is born and raised in Bariloche (Río Negro, Argentina) is such a natural kind person, one of those people you always want to have close. Pioneer in kitesurfing, he is a very respected instructor who traveled with his kite school for the last 10 years around Brazil, México and Argentina. Now, he also has a stationed school at his beloved home spot Dina Huapi – if you are planning on enjoying the full Patagonian kite experience you have to visit Barlovento Kite and this amazing spot, which is definitely one of the most beautiful in the world.

As a passionate freestyle rider, Manu fell in love with the Woodboard TRASH from the very first moment on. For teaching he loves the CHAME – so it doesn’t matter if you come for lessons or sharing an awesome freestyle session with Manu at the Nahuel Huapi lake, he and his puppy Lupita will welcome you with open arms.

Tute Robelis is an Argentinian guy who dedicated his life to outdoor sports. In winter he is giving snowboarding lessons in Bariloche, Argentina and during South American summer he works in Cumbuco, Brazil as a kitesurf instructor.

His empowering attitude is the appeal for everything he is doing as well as his main goal: bringing people into board sports. We highly respect Tute as one of our Woodboard ambassadors and love his decision to go with our brand, which – he says – is based on the very special board sport vibes we share at Woodboard that make him feel comfortable with his passion.

Nicolás Capdevila from Argentina spent most of his life on the water. Starting with sailing at a very young age and even competing in his early teenage years, he ended up falling in love with kitesurfing. As he is always trying to be as close to the ocean as possible, he started working as a kitesurf instructor some years ago, gaining a lot of experience on different spots around the world.

Nico not just owns his own kite school Windexplorer Kiteboarding, he also runs a school at one of the best spots in Brazil, in Ilha do Guajirú. He is patient and kind – not just with his students, but with everyone around him, and loves to share his passion for the sea and kiteboarding.

When it comes to kitesurfing, Gleison Monteiro is one of the “big guys” in the north of Brazil. He was born and raised in Tatajuba, a small village close to Jericoacoara, where the wind gets up to 40 knots frequently. He is running kite schools in Preá, Jeri and Tatajuba. Far over the border of Brazil he is known for his awesome big air style as well as doing some crazy stuff in incredible heights. During off season he is training in Cape Town and Mexico. Besides his riding skills and economic success, he has a great personality with a kind and empowering attitude. He stands for sustainable tourism, including the locals in his business and helping kids getting a proper education, learning languages as well as starting to kitesurf.
Gleison is in the kiteboarding business as long as kitesurfing exists – which means he tried out a lot of boards of different brands. We are super happy, that he decided to go for our boards: The BEAM for lessons, CRBN for rental and the TRASH for himself.
